Acer Aspire is great for getting your programs on the run, or for playing games in the park while you are waiting for someone. The increased disk capacity and the 1.6 GHz processor makes it the best for gaming, since you can run almost every game you need. Let's face it, in every one of use lies a kid who just wants to play. For a business man, this is just the perfect solution. My uncle owns one and he uses it for the bluetooth gps system he has. I am happy with it. Easy to navigate within programs, it moves very quick.

With Aspire 5630 i've got a lot of problems with software and display monitor. Some problems was resolved by changing the components. The good part it is ideal for a wide range of users. You can carry this laptop easy and use it both for entertainment and business and even for heavy multi- tasking projects

I bought this laptop because i needed something for school. It turned out to work better for me then i realized at the time of purchase. So far I have not had a single problem with anything. The battery life is great. Doesn't hose up on large applications. This is really ready to go out of the box. Overall i give it 9 out of 10

My uncle bought the Acer Aspire 5630 last month and as he knows i have a high knowledge he told me to come review it and see if it was worth him buying. I made general tests of the notebook. Running big programs like photoshop and limewire at the same time to see the performance and how it responded. It impressed me alot, the proccessor was fast and for 512 MB Ram it caught my attention that it was very worth it for the price he bought. I was quite amazed. If you're looking for a cheap home based area enviromental laptop for entertainment, i would highlt recommend this laptop.

I have the 5633 and whilst I was getting rid of some of the bloat yesterday and installing the software that I wanted on the laptop (I had the highest settings for cpu etc... whilst doing this) it stayed fairly cool throughout. This was over a period of about 1hour 30mins.
Pretty Happy

I'm pretty happy with this laptop. It's well designed, light, has an attractive screen, 4 USB ports. The built-in web cam is a really nice touch. It's pretty fast, although I'm not a power user. It does seem to take its sweet time booting up (probably because I have Spy Sweeper on it.. what a resource hog!). Ample hard drive space (120 GB), 1GB RAM.

Pleased with the machine. Easy to use right out of the box. Seems slow to boot up, but maybe there are apps buried somewhere that I haven't found that could be removed from start up. Screen is nice and bright, clear and sharp. The memory card slot for camera cards is quite handy, a nice feature, worth having on a laptop. No IEEE 1394 port, but the 4 USBs are good to have. DVD drive somewhat noisy. Good sized hard drive, 120 GB, but splitting it 50/50 as C: and D: makes for too large a C drive and not much space for data on the D partition. It has 2 GB of Ram, so apps work and boot up quite quickly, especially video software. Battery life a bit short, but charges up very quickly, even while using AC power. The built in energy usage and monitor/settings software is a good feature. All and all a nicely designed and functional machine. Would certainly buy another.
