This laptop provides the latest processor the core 2 duo, 2 Gb of RAM, alot(160Gb) of hard disk space, built-in webcam, SD card reader and what I like the best is the long battery life. Now this mashine is excelent to work with; fast, didn't crash once (so far), very good performance of the wireless card, and if you are on the go you won't regret that big battery sticking out the back. Now the only reason this laptop scored 7 is the fact that it has an integrated video card. Now if this laptop had a good video card it would of been an amazing gaming mashine...But NO! Gateway decided to put the Intel GMA 965: if you know your stuff you will know right away that the only games you will run with this are GTA2, CIV3.... Forget 3D! Also the speakers are so-so. But @ the end, I like it. Cause it is not for games anyway :).
The Strengths and weaknesses of the Gateway MT6459

Review:
The Gateway MT6459 is a powerful laptop, providing power and compactness for an excellent price. They use the smae case as the NX-570 series, so they can use the batteries and RAM designed for the NX-570 They are availalbe for a very low price, (I got mine for $500) but they pack a punch with 1GB of dual-channel DDR2 memory, and an AMD Turion TL-50 dual core CPU. One disadvantage may be that Windows Vista uses a ton of the RAM, investing in 2GB would be prudent. It comes bundled with a lot of sofware, which slows down the computer if not quickly removed or disabled. The firewall is zealous, requiring you to give just about any program permission to run for the first time, but very effective in keeping the computer clean of adware, and most virus's. The battery will last about 1 1/2 hours on a full charge, on maximum performance settings, on power saving, it lasts longer, but the speed is notciably slower. A big plus is the easy-to-use wireless card, integrated, which has impressive range, and speed. If the settings are changed, it can be made to work with bluetooth devices. The graphics are stunning, for a laptop, alhtough it will not fare well on heavy gaming. In short, the MT6459 is a great laptop at a great price.

Guide Review - Gateway NX100X
9/6/06 – Powering the stylish Gateway NX100X is the Intel Core Solo U1400 mobile processor. While not as fast as the dual core Duo models, the Solo processor does provide decent performance for non-multitasking and does help some with the battery life. Users will need that battery life too as the small battery does provide limited time on this model. A full gigabyte of memory does allow the system to avoid slowdowns with memory intensive applications.
Like many other ultraportable notebooks, the NX100X forgoes an internal optical drive and instead includes an external USB multiformat DVD burner. This wouldn't be too bad except for the system only has two USB 2.0 ports making expansion restricted without possibly using a USB hub. The 80GB hard drive is sizable though and has good performance thanks to its 5,400rpm spin rate.
The 12.1” wide screen LCD display provides plenty of space for applications to run and is large enough so that those with vision problems should be able to read it without issue. Like most small systems, it uses an integrated Intel graphics processor that limits the 3D functionality.
Most ultraportables are geared towards businesses and as such they don't come with software. Gateway has elected to include the MS Office Basic suite with the system that can help but down costs for consumers need basic productivity applications.

This Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5 GHz Notebook comes equipped with 1 gig (2x 512mb ram) which are upgradeable to 2x 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2 Memory. Comes with 120gb Sata hd, which is pretty fast. It has a 15.4" Wide screen Ultrabright WXGA TFT (1280x800) Screen. I recommend this item for only $799.99. Stock is a little on the weak side, but it has room for many upgrades. Thank you for reading my review. I hope it helps you chose your next notebook.
Gateway NX860XL Personal Review

Even though Gateway Laptops are most expensive but few feature that attracted me are high speed performance, very high quality sound from in-built speakers, etc. Also, it can support very big hard drives with a lot of GigaBytes in it. The memory performance is also amazing and we can use a lot of graphics softwares on it. It's weight is around 8 pounds excluding the power adapter and the maximum screen resolution is 1680x1050.It has four USB ports and a slot for PC cards (we can also use these slots for SD cards. It also consists of a Dual-layer DVD writer of great DVD to DVD copy speed. These are my personal view. I recommend it that you should buy it and use carefully because it is very delicated electronic device. Thanks a lot for reading my personal review.
